Zappa from House of Retrievers, also known as Zappa, is looking for a forever home. Zappa was bred here, so she has been with us since birth. Her sister is also here with us. Their mom and dad are here as well. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to part ways with Zappa (and her sister Ziva) because they’re too small. Our original plan was to keep them and use them for breeding in the future. However, the Toller breed standard imposes a number of requirements, one of which is size. Unfortunately, Zappa does not meet this requirement.
Zappa isn't just a beautiful dog—she's also incredibly sweet. She looks just like her mom. She loves attention, cuddles, and being around people and/or children. She gets along well with other dogs, too. She's the perfect family dog who will bring you hours of joy.
Zappa is 10 months old. She is fully vaccinated and has been properly dewormed. She has a Flemish pedigree. Her parents were extensively tested for hip, elbow, heart, and eye conditions, as well as DNA.

About the breed
The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever—also known simply as Toller —is the smallest of all retriever breeds, but has the energy and tenacity of a much larger dog. Originally bred in Nova Scotia (Canada) to flush and retrieve waterfowl, it combines the fox-like cunning of a hunting dog with the warm heart of a loyal companion.
The Toller is the star of the dog training school: extremely intelligent, eager to learn, and quick to pick up new things. He has a high desire to please He loves to work with his owner, but he also has a strong personality and can be stubborn if the training isn’t challenging enough for him. Gentle, patient guidance works best; harsh words are out of the question. A Toller that is challenged both mentally and physically is a well-balanced and exceptionally affectionate dog.
